     Son of restaurateurs, Mark has been surrounded and driven by food all his life. He  grew up working in his parents' restaurants and spent several years working in kitchens in Barcelona and learning Spanish in the eighties before going to London to study acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Choosing cooking over acting as a profession, he then went on to work in the burgeoning Gastropub scene in London. After five years as Head Chef at The Lansdowne in Primrose Hill he established his catering firm La Grande Bouffe. Wanting to move back to Spain with his wife Annie,  young son Louis, and bun in the oven Frank they chose Ibiza. Mark’s company La Grande Bouffe has been going from strength to strength establishing a name for quality and style. Off season, Mark gives cooking classes to the islanders, sharing his in depth knowledge of Spanish and Catalan cuisine. His food is uncompromisingly simple and unfussy using the best locally sourced organic ingredients. His catering company specialises in anytime, anywhere events from barbecues on Moon Beach to weddings at Space for clients including Ibicenco families, Jade Jagger, James Blunt, and P Diddy.
